GOODBYES

Tracey, Noah and Simeon stopped by the night before Nick left to say goodbye. Nick will miss this bunch! Thanks for stopping by. It meant a lot to him and us.

The night before Nick left (October 8, 2013), he was set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from President Toronto. It was a wonderful night to hear from him and to let Nick know what we all were thinking. We are so proud of him.



We all brought Nick to the airport to say goodbye. We had to leave pretty early in the morning to get there in time. We all took a quick picture with him and off he went in the long line of security. We all were fine, holding it together emotionally until he started to put his things on the belt to get through security. Not a dry eye from any Macfarlane watching him leave....for two years. Though we are so proud of him and are extremely glad he chose to go on a mission, we will miss him terribly! My heart ached as I watched him. He kept looking at us while he put his shoes back on, then belt....he was ready. He was nervous and excited to get on his way to serve the Lord. Watch out Australia, here he comes!!



I will hold onto that last hug until we can hug again!
